Linking Your HMRC Account

Linking your HMRC account allows the app to submit your tax information securely on your behalf.
This process uses HMRC’s official OAuth system and is fully authorised.

Step 1 — Start the Link Process

Inside the app, go to:

Settings → HMRC Account → Link Account

You will be redirected to HMRC’s secure login page.

Step 2 — Sign In With HMRC

You will sign in using your Government Gateway credentials.

HMRC will ask you to confirm that you want to grant permission to this app.
You are not sharing your password — HMRC handles the login.

Step 3 — Grant Permissions

HMRC will ask you to approve access for:

• Making Tax Digital (MTD) VAT
• MTD Income Tax (ITSA)
• Reading and submitting tax information

You can revoke this at any time.

Step 4 — Return to the App

Once approved, HMRC redirects you back to the app.
You should now see:

“HMRC Account Linked Successfully”

Troubleshooting

• Incorrect Government Gateway password
  HMRC will show an error — simply retry.

• Expired session
  Restart the linking process.

• Permissions not granted
  You may need to re‑link your account.
